About David
Before becoming an accredited coach mentor I spent fifteen years founding and leading a renewable energy business. Like many owner-managers, I was involved in everything, from strategy and finance through to operations, recruitment, and the day-to-day reality of keeping things moving.
Over time we grew Mole Energy from start-up to a business employing more than 50 people, with turnover in excess of £10m, before I stepped back following a successful exit. Looking back, I can see that whilst operational and strategic work was vital, it was clear, deliberate thinking that really made the difference.
Finding time to step back from the noise, work through difficult decisions, reflect on what was really going on, and decide how to move forward. That kind of space is hard to create when you’re carrying responsibility.
My work now is to offer that space to others through combining coaching, mentoring and sharing the knowledge I’ve gained on my journey.
